HIGDON – Ace Austin and Maggie Jarrett sank four big free throws down the stretch to help the top-ranked Spring Garden Lady Panthers hold on for a 50-45 basketball victory at North Sand Mountain on Thursday.
Austin led the Lady Panthers (28-1) with 32 points, including six 3-pointers. She also accounted for nine rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Jarrett posted 10 points, two assists, a rebound, a steal and a block.
The Lady Panthers led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter.

The two teams were tied at 25 heading into halftime. Spring Garden held a 39-38 edge after three quarters and outscored the Lady Bison 11-7 in the fourth for the final.
Spring Garden hosts Cedar Bluff on Monday.
