In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Penny Odell, age 53 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on previous charges of three counts of comply/pay.
Matthew Stewart, age 35 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of domestic harassment.
Tammy Aycock, age 54 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge of 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
David Johnson, age 37 of Brierfield, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of alias writ of arrest, probation violation, and failure to appear on previous charges of probation revocation and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 120 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
