Mrs. Velma Joyce Ford, age 90 of Leesburg, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held 7:00PM Sunday, January 19, 2025 in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Daugherty, burial will follow Monday, January 20th in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include nephews.

Ms. Ford is survived by her sons, Kevin Ford and Van A. Ford (Alicia); grandchildren, Michelle Hart and Austin Ford (PJ); great grandchildren, Sophie Hart and Ellie Ford; a host of nieces, nephews, family, loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Oliver Ford, brothers, Charles Hale, William Hale, Kenneth Hale, Lamar Hale, sisters, Carolyn Chandler, Dovey Arther, Katie Roberts, Betty Lawson, Elsie Barrow.

Ms. Ford was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Dow and Frieda Annie Hale and she was a member of Cedar Hill Methodist Church.
