CENTRE – Shon Gleen rang for 21 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Zach Jones came away with 18 points, including three treys, in leading the Cedar Bluff Tigers past Gaylesville 69-34 in the Cherokee County boys basketball tournament at Richard Lindsey Arena in Centre on Thursday.
Gleen also gained six rebounds, five steals and three assists for the Tigers (7-11). Jones added four steals, three rebounds and two assists.
Zyrese Wynn collected 10 points, seven rebounds and a pair of steals. Kuper Bradley accumulated eight points, 10 boards, four steals and two assists. Isaac Bishop finished with seven points, four blocks, three rebounds, a steal and an assist.
Collin Hendon led the Trojans with 19 points. Hunter Allmond added six points on a pair of 3-pointers. Caden Angle finished with five points.
Cedar Bluff began the game on a 7-0 run and held a 20-1 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers led 35-14 at halftime and 48-25 at the end of three quarters.
Cedar Bluff advances to face top-seeded Spring Garden in the tournament semifinals on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Varsity Girls
Cedar Bluff 70, Gaylesville 13
CENTRE – Cedar Bluff went on a 30-0 run to begin the game in suffocating the Gaylesville Lady Trojans 70-13 in the Cherokee County girls basketball tournament on Thursday.
Kylie Vadon led the Lady Tigers (13-6) with 26 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. She also had 11 steals, four assists and three rebounds. Caley Bruce posted 18 points, 14 rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist. Janaya Higgins accounted for 15 points, six steals, four assists and two rebounds.
Kija Gleen came away with six points, six steals and two rebounds. Ciana Smith finished with nine steals, eight rebounds, three points and an assist.
Lydia Reynolds led the Lady Trojans with 11 points.
The Lady Tigers will take on top-seeded Spring Garden in the tournament semifinals on Friday at 4 p.m.
Junior Varsity Boys
Cherokee County 53, Sand Rock 22
CENTRE – Chris Cobb connected on a pair of 3-pointers and netted 12 points to lead the Cherokee County junior varsity boys past Sand Rock 53-22 in the Cherokee County junior varsity boys tournament on Thursday.
Aidan Mansell added nine points for the Warriors. Alex Rogers scored seven points and Hugh Miller finished with five points.
Ryker Woodall led the Wildcats with 15 points. Creed Gillaspie finished with six points.
Cherokee County went on a 10-0 run in the first quarter and led 11-2 after one. The Warrior lead swelled to 35-7 at halftime and 50-13 after three quarters.
Cherokee County will face Cedar Bluff for the JV boys title on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Cedar Bluff 53, Gaylesville 18
CENTRE – Keandre Wynn scored 15 points, including four 3-pointers, in leading Cedar Bluff junior varsity boys to a 53-18 victory over Gaylesville in the Cherokee County junior varsity boys tournament on Thursday.
Dylan McDaniel delivered 13 points for the Tigers. Justin Pope netted nine points. Memphys Anthony added seven points, and Kadien Tracy finished with five points.
Aydn Heinrich topped the Trojans with nine points.
Cedar Bluff led 29-10 at halftime and 40-17 after three quarters.
The Tigers will take on Cherokee County for the JV boys title on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
