Spring Garden girls sink 14 treys in 75-49 basketball victory at Gadsden City

GADSDEN – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers connected on 14 3-pointers in a 75-48 basketball win at Gadsden City on Monday.

Ace Austin led the Lady Panthers (23-1) with 29 points, including four treys. She also had 11 assists, 10 rebounds, six steals and three blocks. Maggie Jarrett sank five treys and had 21 points, five steals, three blocks and a rebound.

Kristen Lewis scored nine points on three 3-pointers. She also had two rebounds and an assist. Montana Highfield seven points, a rebound, an assist and a steal. Olivia Law finished with six points, seven boards, two assists, two blocks and a steal.

Spring Garden held a 17-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 39-23 advantage at halftime. The Lady Panthers led 52-36 after three quarters.

Spring Garden travels to Faith Christian on Tuesday. 

NOTE: Spring Garden coach Ricky Austin confirmed the Lady Panthers have added another game to their schedule. They will be hosting Class 6A, No. 2 Hazel Green on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.
