Winter Weather Likely to Significantly Impact Travel Conditions

The potential continues to increase for impactful winter weather conditions across much of Central Alabama Thursday night through much of Friday with a risk for impacts to travel and infrastructure. A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for the northern third of the area with warnings and advisories expected closer to the impact time.

The potential for winter weather exists Thursday night through Friday evening across the northern two-thirds of Central Alabama. The most impacted areas will be across the north. Impacts will be possible ranging from slick spots to potential difficult travel conditions. Please refer to winter weather products for more specific information.
