JACKSONVILLE – John Welsh scored a game-high 25 points, including 17 in the third quarter. Noah Barber rang for 12 points, including 12 in the first quarter on four 3-pointers, to lead the Spring Garden Panthers to a 73-41 area basketball victory over Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.

Connor Bates contributed 12 points for the Panthers (17-0), including a pair of treys. Jaylen Brown added eight points and Zane Edwards finished with seven points.

Noah Lee led the Thunder with 18 points. Jesse Gannaway tossed in 16 points.

Behind Barber’s treys, Spring Garden jumped out to a 21-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Panther lead swelled to 41-18 at halftime.
