COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers opened 2025 with a bang Friday night by earning a 77-49 basketball win over visiting Sylvania.
Jake Middlebrooks led the Panthers with 24 points. Sylas Adams sank six treys and finished with 18 points. Gavin Lang rang four 3-pointers and had 16 points. Sam Stewart connected on a pair of treys and had eight points.
Sylvania’s Finn Turner topped all scorers with 31 points, including three 3-pointers. Jake Turner and Bennett Hawes finished with six and five points respectively.
Collinsville held a 27-19 advantage at the end of the first quarter and built a 48-30 halftime lead. The Panthers led 63-42 at the end of three quarters.
Collinsville (11-3) hosts Geraldine on Tuesday.
