Saturday afternoon, Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff, and Centre Fire Departments were dispatched to a camper fire on County Road 618 in the Farill community. There were 3 campers involved when fire fighters arrived. Gaylesville Fire Chief called for tanker units to provide extra water. Spring Creek and Tuckers Chapel tanker units responded but were cancelled when firefighters were able to do draft from the lake providing the necessary water to battle the blaze.
At 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Gaylesville and Cedar Bluff units were dispatched to the scene again with a restart reported. By 4:40, the blaze was extinguished.
No cause of the fire has been reported at this time. No injuries were reported with everyone exiting the campers safely.
