In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Gregory Garrett, age 56 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on previous charges of the willful abuse of a child under 18 and 3rd degree domestic violence.
Justin Godfrey, age 34 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Misty Fugatt, age 41 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge of 4th degree theft of property.
Savannah Smith, age 24 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge of 4th degree theft of property.
Gary Wheeling, age 52 of Dawson, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of two counts of probation revocation and two counts of probation violation.
Christy Hoque, age 44 of LaFayette, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge of probation violation.
Tony McCay, age 42 of Oneonta, was arrested by an unlisted agency on unlisted charges.
Arrests are based upon probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 120 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
