At approximately 12:05 this afternoon (Thursday) one person was injured when a SUV and a large van collided in front of the Tractor Supply Store. Centre Police told WEIS Radio that one person was taken to the hospital with injuries. The SUV also struck a pole off the Chestnut Bypass.
First responders on the scene were Atrium Health Floyd EMS, Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Centre Police and Fire Departments.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. At this time, additional details are being confirmed, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
