Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Executed Search Warrant, Three Arrested

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the Lawrence community on Friday, leading to the arrest of three individuals on drug-related charges.

Significant quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia, were discovered at the residence.

  • Lillie Hardin, 70, was charged with:
  •     Trafficking fentanyl
  •     Trafficking methamphetamine
  •     First-degree possession of marijuana
  •     Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Joshua Steele, 37, faces charges for:
  •     Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
  •     Unlawful possession of marijuana
  • Matthew Scott, 42, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for probation revocation and failure to appear (FTA) on a prior charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

All three individuals were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center following the arrests.
