City Christmas trash pickup schedule: The city will close at 11 am on Monday, December 23rd and will also be closed the 24th and 25th. We will be back to work on Thursday and Friday.
If your trash can pickup is Monday or Tuesday, please put your can out Sunday night, December 22nd. Our sanitation workers will start emptying cans VERY EARLY Monday morning.
If your trash can pickup is Wednesday or Thursday your trash will be picked up Thursday.
With this cold weather that we have been experiencing recently, I’m thinking that we should all be ready to participate in the Annual Piedmont Polar Plunge.
It will be held on Saturday, January 4th at the Piedmont Aquatic Center.
$10 to plunge for charity and free to watch. I’m hoping that many will show up to plunge, watch, or donate.
Every penny raised will go to the Venecia Foundation to assist folks dealing with cancer issues. I plan to hit the water again this year and I hope that you will join me. See you on the 4th at 10 am. Plunging for a Cause.
