Cedar Bluff Town Council Meeting

The Cedar Bluff Town Council had nine items on their agenda for the Monday evening meeting, with one of those items being tabled until the next meeting.

The Council met in a workshop before the Council Meeting. Mayor Tammy Crane called upon Cedar Bluff resident Kenneth Pinson to address the Council. Pinson spoke emotionally and at length about how the roads must be fixed in Cedar Bluff.

Later during the meeting, Pinson said he would donate $250,000 of his own money towards the bill if they decide to get some of the roads paved.

During the Regular Council Meeting, Crane had Police Chief Jeremy Stepps gave the Police Report for the month of November. The Police Department patrolled 10,258 miles with 17 felony arrests and nine warrants served.

Then fireman Bill Warren gave the Fire Report for November. There were 23 incidents in November.

After that, Building Inspector Mark Baty gave his report for November. There were 36 Camper Permits purchased.

In new business, the Council approved the 2025 Holiday Calendar.

Next on the agenda, the Council rejected AT&T’s Cell Tower Contract Proposed Changes. The Council agreed to hold a special called meeting Wednesday, December 18 at 5 p.m. to complete the budget.

The Council approved rebidding a truck bed and selling the surplus Christmas lights.

The next Cedar Bluff Town Council meeting will be on January 13.
