SAND ROCK – Will Cleere came away with 23 points, six rebounds and two steal in leading the Sand Rock Wildcats to a 56-45 basketball win over Pleasant Valley on Friday night.

Ty Traffanstedt and Jonas Browder both tossed in 12 points for the Wildcats (4-3). Traffanstedt also tallied five rebounds, four assists and two steals. All of Browder’s points came on four 5-pointers. He also had two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Hunter Sparks led the Raiders with 13 points. Brody Barnwell finished with 10 points.

Sand Rock led at each of the quarter breaks. The Wildcats held a 21-17 advantage after one and a 33-28 edge at halftime. Sand Rock took a 46-39 lead at the end of three quarters.

Sand Rock travels to Cedar Bluff on Tuesday.
