Park and Recreation Department Getting New Truck

The Centre City Council on Tuesday evening approved a new truck for the Park and Recreation Director. It will be a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in the amount of $46,811.50. They also approved repair bills to Southland Transportation for truck 40, a repair bill for tractor 16 in the amount of $10,468.83 to Foothills Tractor of Centre.

The annual pay raise for employees was tabled in order for the City to revise guidelines. It will be addressed at the next meeting in December.

The Council Meeting scheduled for December 24th was waived due to the Christmas Holidays.

The Council added an additional $500 to the Budget for Christmas on Main and approved an ad with FNN Network.

Mayor Mansfield told the Council the League of Municipalities meeting for 2025 will be in Huntsville.

The next Centre City Council meeting is scheduled for December 10th with work session at 4:30 and Meeting at 5pm.
