Drug Raids In Cherokee County Nets Arrests and Drugs

Investigators and deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department conducted raids and executed two separate narcotics search warrants for residences on County Road 80 in the Mills Creek community and County Road 472 in the Whorton community recently.

During the search deputies discovered various illegal narcotics and paraphernalia in the residences. As a result, the following individuals were taken into custody and charged with the following offenses: Kelia Crider 41 of Gaylesville, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance,Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Robert Jones 38 of Menlo, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Quartez Powell, 26 of Centre,  was charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Macie Steele 22 of Centre, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
