In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

SANDY GOWENS, 62 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with:  Drug Trafficking/Methamphetamine, Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

MARGIE HAINDS age 31 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

STEVEN HARDY, 39 of Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

RAYMOND ELLIS, age 26 of Cedar Bluff was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on Fugitive from Justices charges;

JUSTIN TWILLEY age 40 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And

SIDNEY BLEVINS age 43 of Leesburg was arrested by Leesburg Police and charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 111 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
