In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

SARAH COX age 64 of Arab was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Bondman off Bond, and Failure to Appear on the previous charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance/Intent to Distribute and Drug Paraphernalia;

And

CHARLES JOHNSON, age 69 of Gadsden was arrested by Centre Police and charged with a Violation of Protection Order.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 114 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
