Centre Police Officers made an arrest Monday morning in the parking lot of Regions Bank, after a man being pulled over, entered into that lot. Officers investigated the contents of the vehicle after making the stop.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 44 year old Heman Patel of Centre was placed under arrest, and charged with Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree.
Afterwards he was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he currently remains.
He was booked into the jail at approximately 1:45pm.
