AHSAA’s second-round football playoff matchups set for Friday

Three area high school football teams are still alive in the Alabama High School Athletic Association state playoffs. This Friday’s second round games include Class 4A Cherokee County (10-1) hosting Central of Florence (9-2), Class 3A Piedmont (11-0) entertaining Lauderdale County (8-3), and Class 1A Spring Garden (11-0) hosting Berry-Fayette (10-1) in the Foothills Tractor Game of the Week.

Pregame for the Berry at Spring Garden game is at 6:30 p.
