A 47-year-old Gadsden man is dead – after a wreck on Interstate 59 in St. Clair County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), has stated that William E. Martin II was driving a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser that ran off of the road, and hit an unoccupied 1997 Toyota Camry. The Land Cruiser overturned afterwards. Martin wasn’t wearing a seat belt and he was thrown from the SUV, dying at the scene.
That wreck happened just before 3:00am Wednesday (on November 6th, of 2024) near mile marker 171, about three miles south of Steele.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
