Cherokee County deputies are now equipped with sensory inclusive kits from Kulture City. Kulture City is a non-profit organization that provides yearly training to all sworn officers for continuing education. This helps to ensure deputies are setting the standard for law enforcement interactions with persons with autism, neuro divergent, and sensory-processing disorders.
In addition to this invaluable training, each CCSO patrol vehicle is equipped with sensory inclusive items to be available to those with sensory needs in an emergency situation. This initiative helps first responders serve all citizens regardless of their sensory needs, mental health challenges or invisible disabilities.
