A man was hurt in a single vehicle accident, taking place at 7:30 Saturday morning, in neighboring DeKalb County.

According to Alabama State Trooper reports the driver – a male from the Section area – was uninjured however a male passenger from Fort Payne was listed as being hurt when the 2011 Chevrolet struck a deer – causing the vehicle to roll over.

That wreck occurred on County Road 56.

The injured party was transported to an area hospital for treatment, and we’ll have additional information as it’s made available.
