Volleyball’s North and South Super Regionals are this week. The North Super Regional will be played at the Finley Center in Hoover, while the South Super Regional takes place at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery. Admission is $12 per day. Tickets may be purchased online at www.gofan.com or at the gate.
Three area teams are among the North Super Regional participants. Class 2A Area 13 runner-up Cedar Bluff will open play on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. against Area 12 winner Southeastern. The winner will take on either Lamar County or Lindsey Lane at 3:30 p.m.
Class 4A Area 12 champion Cherokee County battles Area 13 runner-up East Lawrence on Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. The winner will face either Fayette County or St. John Paul II at 6:30 p.m.
Play continues on Thursday with defending Class 1A state champion and Area 12 winner Spring Garden. The Lady Panthers clash with Area 13 runner-up Brilliant at 11 a.m. The winner will take on either Lynn or Athens Bible at 4:45 p.m.
The top four teams from each regional advance to next week’s state tournament in Birmingham.
