In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

TALMADGE GEORGE, age 46 from Centre – was arrested by Centre Police, and charged with DUI (Driving Under the Influence)/Alcohol;

THOMAS MOTEN, 32 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with – Revoked/the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Trafficking Meth;

CODY AYCOCK – age 32 of Gaylesville was arrested by Centre Police – and charged with Failure to Appear – on prior charges of Attempting to Elude and Speeding 25 Miles Per Hour Over the Limit;

AUSTIN HUBBARD age 29 of Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear on previous counts of Criminal Mischief, Receiving Stolen Property 4th Degree – also Harassing Communications, a Probation Revocation (two counts), Attempt to Elude and the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance

ALISSA MATHEWS, age 39 of Morris (Alabama), arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation;

And

BREANNA OGLESBY age 25 of Piedmont arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 114 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
