At approximately 12:15 this afternoon (Monday) a man was injured when he lost control of the truck he was driving North on Highway 9. The truck left the road way over turning with the driver entrapped briefly.

First responders were Atrium Health Floyd EMS and Cherokee County Rescue Squad. The man was extricated from the wreckage. According to those on the scene, the driver was transported to a local trauma center with head injuries.
