Top-ranked Pisgah wins big over Cedar Bluff on homecoming

PISGAH – Top-ranked Pisgah continued its unbeaten streak on the season Friday. The Eagles scored 53 unanswered points in the first half to take a 53-13 victory over Cedar Bluff in Class 2A Region 7 action.

Luke Gilbert completed 6 of 7 pass attempts for 135 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a 59-yard touchdown run and a punt return for a score. Legion McCrary added eight carries for 107 yards and a touchdown.

Cedar Bluff scored its two touchdowns on Bryson Teague’s 15-yard run in the third quarter and on Hunter Stallings’ 1-yard run in the fourth.

Pisgah (7-0, 4-0) will travel to Gaston on Friday. Cedar Bluff (2-6, 2-3) will end region play at home against Sand Rock (3-4, 2-2).
