Cherokee County Rescue Service to Hold Additional Supply Donation Day Wednesday, October 9

Hurricane Helene relief efforts continues Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Centre with the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Indian Mountain ATV Park, and others joining forces to conduct another supply donation from 8 a.m. until dark.

Another enclosed trailer will be set up at Pic ‘N Sav shopping Center, beside the Gridiron Restaurant, located at 1470 West Main Street in Centre.

The collected supplies will be sent to the hurricane stricken areas of North Carolina and/or Eastern Tennessee.

Items needed include but are not limited to:  non perishable food items, canned foods (which need to have an easy open pull top), all baby items (including food, formula, diapers, wipes, and bottles), cleaning supplies (including bleach, disinfectant wipes, spray cleaners, brooms, and mops), personal hygiene items, hand-operated can openers, canned fruit and juice, water, protein bars snacks, etc.

Members of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Indian Mountain ATV Park, and others, will be there to accept the donations; volunteers are needed to assist with the loading process.

The WEIS Radio Road Crew will also be on hand from 9 a.m. until Noon, which is made possible by Centre Mayor Mansfield.
