Last week, Connor Bates was selected as the Alabama ONE Athlete of the Week for Cherokee County after Spring Garden defeated Valley Head, 32-13, on Friday, Sept. 20.
Connor had 14 carries for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 4 tackles on defense.
