In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

JAMIE SHORT – age 41 of Fruithurst, Alabama – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office charged with Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude and DUI/Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol;

GARY SHANKLES age 60 of Henegar was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation;

TRAVIS PAUL, age 48 of Cedar Bluff was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and Elder Abuse 2nd Degree;

TYRONE RANDOLPH 58 from Piedmont arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with a Bond Revocation;

And

FRANK WATKINS, age 72 from Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Trafficking Meth.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 109 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
