CENTRE – Sand Rock won the Cherokee County Junior High Volleyball Tournament Tuesday night at Centre Middle School.
Spring Garden defeated Centre Middle School and Sand Rock beat Cedar Bluff in the first round 25-6, 25-7. Spring Garden then defeated Gaylesville to meet Sand Rock in the championship. Sand Rock defeated Spring Garden in the championship 25-20, 25-11.
Team members are Ashlyn McMichen, Jalyn Patterson, Alyeen Guzman, Camille Edwards, Madison Alverson, Addisyn McMichen, Jorja Foote, Madleigh Adair, Amelia Wright, Hellen Alvarenga and Abby Ellis. Coaches are Paige Lockridge, Johnny Howell and Lisa Bates.
