RAINSVILLE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors split a pair of volleyball matches at Plainview on Tuesday. They dropped a 29-27, 16-25, 11-15 decision to Geraldine, but rebounded to take a 25-22, 25-19 win over Plainview to improve to 25-7 on the season.
For the night, Macy Lea accumulated 45 assists, five kills, seven digs, two blocks and three aces. Raegan Garmany collected four kills, three blocks, two digs and two assists. Lilly Shaw came away with five kills, three blocks, an assist and a dig. Ava Haygood delivered 14 kills, 15 digs, three blocks and two assists.
Jolie Alexander added five kills, four blocks, six digs and an ace. Libby Curry had five kills. Ellisan Givens earned 24 digs, a kill, three aces and six assists. Nevaeh Gaidurgis posted 17 kills, 15 digs and two aces. Jesslyn Hincy had 17 digs, two aces and an assist. Shamiya McElrath finished with two kills and two digs.
Cherokee County hosts Fort Payne and Oneonta on Thursday.
