According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver – a report was recently made in reference to a stolen trailer in the Spring Garden area.
That trailer was reported stolen last month (August) and later recovered in Calhoun County. It was quickly retrieved by the owner. Investigators soon developed a suspect – and they subsequently arrested Preston Matthew Burt, age 21 of Centre for Theft of Property 1st Degree.
Burt was arrested and taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
