Raise Awareness by Wearing Purple on Kleefstra Awareness Day, September 17

There are only about 5000 in the world with this genetic disorder that effects the 9th chromosome! With it being newly
discovered there is minimal research so we’re trying to change that by raising awareness!

One of the ways to raise awareness is by everyone wearing purple on Kleefstra Awareness Day, Sept. 17.

Last year Senator Andrew Jones assisted us in getting the State of Alabama and City of Centre to recognize every Sept. 17 officially as Kleefstra Awareness Day also!

In honor of Liam Thompson and the rest of our Kleefstra Syndrome family, we invite everyone in the community to shows their support and wear purple on this day with us!

Centre Elementary, Liam’s school, has announced they will be showing their support that day and wearing purple with us!
