Single-Vehicle Wreck Friday Morning Results in Driver Being Injured; Dog Missing

At around 8:50 Friday morning, a truck left the roadway on Highway 9 in the Cedar Bluff area, and it crashed into a number of trees before coming to a stop.  The driver was entrapped in the vehicle, a Toyota Tundra, and had to be extricated from the cab prior to being transported to a hospital nearby, for the treatment of injuries sustained in that crash.

Firefighters, the Rescue Squad, and Alabama State Troopers were among those responding to the scene.

We’ll have additional information as it becomes available – that accident remains under investigation.

Three dogs were also in the truck at the time of the accident. While animal control was able safely pick up two of the dogs, one remains missing.
