A female pedestrian was hit on Highway 27 in Chattooga County, Georgia on Tuesday night.
According to Sheriff Mark Schrader she was walking near the entrance to Advance Rehab when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The victim was identified as Wanda Watson of Summerville. She was transported by AtriumHealth Floyd EMS staff members, and was suffering with serious injuries.
The name of the driver has not been released. Sheriff Schrader says that the accident was worked by the Georgia State Patrol.
