A single vehicle crash off County Road 7 – at around 10:00am – just down from the Leesburg Bridge on Thursday shook up the driver – and also led to a minor fire further damaging the car following the wreck.
That accident took place, as the vehicle – a 2006 Chevy – left the roadway and crashed into a field just down from the nursery.
Fire ignited underneath the hood, and the driver – a male from Leesburg, fortunately managed to exit from the vehicle – and was only shaken up in the process; several firefighters and law enforcement officials all quickly responded to the scene.
The wreck remains under investigation and we’ll have more information as it’s made available.
