The cold front which brought Severe Storms to portions of Alabama over the weekend will also bring an annual Alabama tradition along with it – “Fake” fall; Alabamians sick and tired of the relentless heat and humidity will get a brief break, of sorts, during this week.
The National Weather Service is now forecasting Slightly Cooler daytime temps for a few days as drier air filters into the state from the north.
The days will still be rather warm BUT FAR less humid and it’s the nights where there will be a taste of fall in the air. The coolest night of the week could very well be Wednesday on into Thursday morning, as those temps may dip into the 50’s in parts of north Alabama.
According to the weather service most of the state is expected to stay dry for the majority of the work week.
Highs today (Monday) will still be in the 90’s across most of the state, but drier air will be filtering in from the north through the day.
Low temperatures tonight will be cooler – with 60’s expected for much of the state; Tuesday’s high temperatures will still be somewhat WARM, but parts of northern Alabama may not make it into the 90’s.
Expect low temperatures. to be a few degrees cooler Tuesday night – into Wednesday morning – and some areas in north Alabama will be seeing a few 50’s; highs Wednesday will be a degree or two cooler for much of the state, all except for south Alabama, which will still be in the 90’s.
Enjoy it while it lasts, because it will be short-lived. More Above-Average Temperatures are favored for Alabama as we head toward the end of the month.
