Recently, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators – along with the Cherokee County Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on County Road 142.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics.  After the execution of the warrant, Sheila Antoienette Bevels, age 57 of Fort Payne – was arrested on two counts of the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – also, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Afterwards, Bevels was taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators also held a separate Narcotics Investigation, that led them to DeKalb County.

Cherokee and DeKalb County Investigators executed a search warrant, at an address on Highway 176 where numerous firearms – and narcotics – were seized.  After the execution of that warrant, Joshua Allen Meadows, age 43 from Fort Payne was arrested, and was charged with the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

Meadows was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
