Mrs. Linda Carol Lentz, age 78 of Centre, AL, passed away August 11, 2024, at Floyd Medical Center Cherokee.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, August 17th at 2pm at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Williams officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lentz was the daughter of the Late James Alvyn and Lila Mae Joiner. She is survived by her husband, William Dudley Lentz; son, William Marcus Lentz; daughter, Lisa Lentz Pritchett; brother, James Joiner, Jr.; and sister, Patty Wheeler; grandchildren, Shae Lentz, Hunter Lentz, Faith Morris, Eli Thompson, Lauryn Pritchett, and Dreyson Pritchett; and 2 great-grancchildren, Micah Lentz and Marcellus McElroy; along with special friends, Gerri Prater and Marie Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Franklin Lentz; brother, Harold Joiner; sister, Sharon Pope; and grandson,Tyler Lentz .
Mrs. Lentz was a school bus driver for Paulding and Whitfield Counties in Georgia, and was of the Christian faith.
The family requests no flowers. Donations in Ms. Lentz’s memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Samaritan’s Purse.
