In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

JOSEPH BEDWELL age 54 of Piedmont – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of DUI/Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Violation of the Prohibition Law;

ALICIA SMITH, age 52 from Rome, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on prior charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Probation Revocation;

And

BRITTNEY LASSETTER, 38 of Lafayette, Georgia – arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Failure to Appear.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 109 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
