The Rome Police Department is investigating the reported theft of a boat – valued in the area of $1,500 – in an area of Veterans Memorial Highway and Riverside Parkway. According to police reports the boat, which was owned by a construction company – was being used by a crew to remove debris from the river and it was taken from a trailer.
The theft occurred between last Friday afternoon and Monday morning – and the boat was described as a 16-foot aluminum hull model.
