Time to Shop! World’s Longest Yard Sale Officially Begins Thursday

Pots, pans, puppies, tires, car parts, clothing, bicycles, exercise equipment, furniture, flatware, memories and much more will be waiting on you, starting Thursday, August 1st and running through Sunday, August 4th.  No matter what it is that you’re looking for chances are you’ll find it during the annual World’s Longest Yard Sale – otherwise known as the 127 Yard Sale – now covering 690 miles across six states.

It begins at Noccalula Falls in Gadsden, passing through Cherokee County along the Lookout Mountain Parkway, including Alabama Highway 176, as well as County Road 89 in DeKalb County, before running through Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio – on into Addison, Michigan.

It’s a scenic drive through some of the most beautiful countryside In the U.S., with the route featuring many special attractions and events – not to mention miles and miles of great buys – and unlimited smiles.  We’ve posted additional information along with the travel map for the entire route along with links to places to visit and the official website as well.

The World’s Longest Yard Sale

The 127 Yard Sale is commonly referred to as “The World’s Longest Yard Sale”. That’s because it really is the longest yard sale in the world. To be exact, it’s 690 miles long and the route travels through 6 states; Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. The majority of the route follows Highway 127 from Addison, MI in the north to Chattanooga, TN in the south. From Lookout Mountain, GA to Gadsden, AL the route switches to Lookout Mountain Parkway. Both are scenic drives allowing you to appreciate the beautiful countryside of these states all while enjoying the fun and excitement of The World’s Longest Yard Sale.
