A suspect is behind bars, after a man was found in a pool of blood in east Alabama Saturday night.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched about 8:30pm to the 400 block of Church Street in Hobson City. Sheriff Matthew Wade stated that the victim was found in the road with a stab wound to the chest. A deputy rendered aid to that man until Oxford EMS arrived. He was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham suffering life-threatening injuries. Wade said deputies found a witness, that identified Oshae Dontrell Ball – age 31, as the suspect.
A lookout bulletin was issued – and Oxford Police Officers later took him into custody. Ball was booked in at the Calhoun County Jail on a charge of First-Degree Assault. He remains held on a $20,000 cash bond.
