A 15-year-old from Union Grove died from injuries in a crash – involving an all-terrain vehicle – on Monday night.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened around 11:50pm on Union Chapel Road some four miles north of Arab in Marshall County.  Bailey said that the teenager was critically injured, after the 2015 Honda four-wheeler ATV he was operating – left the roadway – and then struck a tree.  After the initial impact the juvenile and another 15-year-old teen, who was a passenger, were thrown from the Honda.

Neither was using a helmet at the time of crash.

Both teens were taken to an area hospital for treatment – the operator of the Honda later died from injuries sustained in the wreck.
