Celebrating 100 Years! Centre First United Methodist Church Centennial Service this Sunday

Centre First United Methodist Church invites the community to join them this Sunday, July 21st, as they celebrate 100 years in their beautiful sanctuary, located on Main Street in Centre.

WEIS Radio’s Jerry Baker recently sat down with Bill Mack Garret to learn more about the church’s upcoming centennial celebration.

The highlight of the day will be the opening of a time capsule, created in 1920:

The service will begin at 10:55am with a catered lunch to follow.

Instead of a sermon, several people will share fond memories of the church. In addition, during the lunch, videos will be shown from several individuals, who could not be present.

You can listen Billy Mack Garrett’s interview in its entirety below:

The church address is 341 West Main Street in Centre.
