Alabama State University Hosts Critical Incident Response and School Resource Officer Training Event
Alabama State University is proud to announce hosting an upcoming Critical Incident Response Training and School Resource Officer Training Course, organized in collaboration with the Alabama State University Preventing School Violence Campaign, Alabama State University Office of Public Safety, and Central Alabama Crime Stoppers. The event will take place from July 22 to July 26, 2024, at the Alabama State University Football Stadium located on the Alabama State University Campus at 1625 Harris Way, Montgomery, AL 36106.
Members of the press are invited to attend classes held throughout the week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to observe the comprehensive training sessions. However, media representatives are strongly encouraged to participate in a special display session scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 am. This session will feature live demonstrations by SWAT teams from the Montgomery City Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Prattville Police Department, along with the ALEA’s Aviation Unit, on the Alabama State University Football Field.
During the display session, representatives from the Alabama State University Preventing School Violence Campaign, Alabama State University Office of Public Safety, and Central Alabama Crime Stoppers will provide a brief overview of the week’s training activities and will be available for questions from the media.
