NEWS RELEASE / Tuesday, July 16, 2024 / City of Gadsden Launches Video-Based Website to Engage Residents
The City of Gadsden has recently launched a new method to help connect with its many residents, to promote transparency, and improve access to timely information. With Rep’d, which is a groundbreaking video messaging and engagement platform for local government – residents can ask MANY questions of the City Staff Members and receive short, personalized video answers.
Additionally – people can “UPVOTE” questions, that have been submitted by their neighbors to indicate they’d also like to know that information.
“This is a great opportunity for people to stay engaged and informed by asking about what’s important to them” said Mayor Craig Ford. “With the Hey Gadsden app and our new text alert system – this is yet another tool to help the city improve all of those communication options between the City and residents. In today’s changing times people receive information in more ways than ever, so we are working to provide residents a variety of options to help keep them connected to the city as much as possible.”
Residents who submit any question through that designated website will be immediately notified when their question has been answered – via an email sent to their inbox. All answers are publicly viewable online AND can be searched to see if any particular question may have already been addressed.
