North baseball all-stars fall to South 4-1

MONTGOMERY – Cedar Bluff’s Caleb Edmondson played left field and caught, and Piedmont’s Brodie Homesley pitched an inning for the North baseball all-stars in the North-South baseball series at Montgomery’s Riverwalk Stadium on Monday, but the North suffered a 4-1 setback.

The second game was rained out.

Edmondson drew a walk and Homesley gave up two earned runs on a pair of hits with three walks and a strikeout.

All-Star Sports Week continues Tuesday, featuring Spring Garden’s Ace Austin playing for the North in North-South girls basketball game. Sand Rock’s Caleb Yoder will be running for the North in cross country.
